Artist of the Week: Fúnez

It’s time to feast y’all. And when I say feast, I’m not talking about filling your stomach with a delicious meal. I’m talking about feasting your eyes on today’s chosen artist of the week.

Fúnez is a Gaithersburg local rapper who has quietly dropped a few entertaining songs in the previous year. Though he doesn’t have the solid fan base that some of his peers have established, it hasn’t stopped him from producing quality music.

A man who cares about lyricism, Fúnez has shown his love for the craft through songs such as Grown and Need Some Time that flex his wordplay skills and catchy flow. Simultaneously, he’s also displayed the ability to create an intriguing sound that gives his tracks a lot of replay value. His melodic voice paired with a relaxed tone creates a smooth, chill ambiance on his songs that fit almost every setting imaginable. An easy add to the playlist.

Though his discography is certainly a minuscule sample size in comparison to others, the few songs he has delivered has shown his promise nonetheless as an artist. His lyrical capabilities matched with his unique sound are characteristics of a young prospect with scary potential.

Fúnez is certainly an artist to keep an eye on.
